Chandler: Hi, I'm dorf! Your date for the evening.

Chandler is trying to convince Monica that he is good for dating. First she opens a door he trys a strange sexy voice. It's not working. The next time he couldn't come up with anything. And the third time Monica opens the door he stands on his knees saying:

 - Hi, I'm dorf! Your date for the evening.
Monica rolls her eyes and walks away.
Chandler(disappointingly):
- Dorf on dating? That's good stuff!

 And episode ends with the laughter. So who is dorf? Why is dating him supposed to be funny?

    Chandler is impersonating some comedian of tha time. He was aparently known as the one who would stand on his knees on shoes and tell jokes. They say if you google "dorf on" you'll see some clips. But for me it didn't work out, the only videos availible were on "dorf on golf", which were not the comic ones.

    Dorf in and of himself is intended to be an amusing character, mostly because of his stature. "Dorf on Golf" is really the only majoy Dorf video that I know of, but it was a bit before my time.

      There are actually a Dorf of Golf movie on youtube availible now. It is of 1987, no wonder it was a bit early to me a knowing fan of the art)

    Dorf is a character of the comedian Tim Conway (pretending to be a dwarf). He used to put some knee fake shoes and stand on it, so he could do strange movements and make some stories.
    He used to put the titles of the scenes as "Dorf in ...".
    So, Chandler just stood on his knees and made the joke... as we can see after the reaction of Monica it wasn't a popular success.

      Hey, Nada a Declarar! Thank you for the name to search. Now the range of videos on youtube of the Darf in much wider. They are as everything after 30 years seem a bit slow with its physucal humor. But also endearing)

Chandler: You have to stop the Q-Tip when there's resistance!

What does the phrase 'stop the Q-Tip when there's resistance' mean? Chandler needs new pants made and asks friends for a contact of a good tailor. Joey raises a hand - yep, he has a tailor. Chandler feels all set. But Joey starts to share way too much of boring detail. Joey : He did my first suit when I was 15... No, wait, 16... No, excuse me, 15... All right, when was 1990? Chandler :  You have to stop the Q-Tip when there's resistance! What is Q-Tip? What is the whole "You have to stop the Q-Tip when there's resistance" expression is referring to?  Apparently the joke was among few that Matthew Perry, the actor who played Chandler has improvised on the set. Also that is the joke some websites say that Matthew is the most proud of. So let's try and get it! Q-Tip is a cotton swabs brand name. You know the ones you use to clean your ears after a bath. What is a dinkle? Joey plays Dr.Freud. Suddenly he rises and does a little dance and sing: Joey: All you want is a dinkle What you envy's a schwang A thing through which you can tinkle To play with or simply let hang Why is this dinkle-song funny?  Joey is playing Freud in this show.  Sigmund Freud was a founder of psychoanalysis.  Freud is also quite famous for inventing the theory of penis envy. The idea that some women's problems take root in their deep dark desire for a penis of their own. Now this theory isn't all that popular. But it could be a fun referral, yes. Dingle and schwang in the song is a slang for penis. Tinkle is a cute children's word for peeing. It is either that or Joey's imitation of German accent what turns Dingle into Dinkle.
