Is it loaded?

Chandler after Joey's "surprise double-date" ends up with Janice AGAIN. He doesn't know to dump her for a 3rd time in a row and he suffers being around her. So on the St. Valentine's day Janice comes to meet Chandler at the coffee house. Janice:

-I brought you something.
Chandler with the voice of hope:
-Is it loaded?

What does he mean by that? What could be "loaded" so everyone knows what he means here?

  2. Yeah, that's how i got it too. He thinks Janice is crazy (we all do ;) ) and he thinks she'll kill him when he breaks up with her

    1. Thank you now with one more person on my side now I am pretty sure the "loaded" phrase was referring to a gun and Chandler's scare of Janice killing him)).

  3. I think chandler is so annoyed with Janice that the only thing he want now is to kill her, so when she says she brought him something he just want it to be gun and directly asking "Is it loaded?" so he can shoot her :)

    1. That does make a lot more sense. But giving the fact that Chandler is a very nice guy after all. I suppose his way out would've been to shoot himself. Don't you think?

    2. That's funny, I always assumed he wanted it to shoot himself, not her. :3

s03e17 Chandler: No, Hymn 253: "His Eyes are on the Sparrow."

How is Chandler's reference to Hymn 253: "His Eyes are on the Sparrow" funny? Ross and Rachel just broke up. Rachel invites guys to a free event she has tickets to. They reject the invitation, because Ross had them reserved for that same night earlier. Rachel says that it's not a big deal and leaves. Everyone is upset especially Chandler. He lights up a cigarette even though he wasn't smoking for a year already. Someone knocks on a door and Chandler says: Chandler: That's great. With my luck, that's him. Phoebe:  Him? Ross? Chandler:  No, Hymn 253: "His Eyes are on the Sparrow." What is that with this hymn?
