You could "get caught between the moon and New York City. I know it's crazy, but it's true."

Monica has got a bad haircut from Phoebe. Instead of the "Demi Moore hair" she's got "Dudley Moore" ones. Now guys are sitting in the kitchen and teasing her about it.

Chandler: Come on, things could be worse. You could "get caught between the moon and New York City... I know it's crazy, but it's true."

I know that is a quote from "Arthur's Theme (Best that you can do)" by Christopher Cross. But how is it related to Monica's hair I don't get. Do you?

Comments

  1. Чендлер подначивает Монику, цитируя слова из песни к фильму "Артур", в котором снимался Dudley Moore. Кстати, о том, что он там снимался, говорится ранее в этом эпизоде.

  3. Chandler is having fun of Monica by quoting lyrics from "Arthur" movie, where Dudley Moore was stared. He was as well mentioned in the same episode before.

s03e17 Chandler: No, Hymn 253: "His Eyes are on the Sparrow."

How is Chandler's reference to Hymn 253: "His Eyes are on the Sparrow" funny? Ross and Rachel just broke up. Rachel invites guys to a free event she has tickets to. They reject the invitation, because Ross had them reserved for that same night earlier. Rachel says that it's not a big deal and leaves. Everyone is upset especially Chandler. He lights up a cigarette even though he wasn't smoking for a year already. Someone knocks on a door and Chandler says: Chandler: That's great. With my luck, that's him. Phoebe:  Him? Ross? Chandler:  No, Hymn 253: "His Eyes are on the Sparrow." What is that with this hymn?
