Chandler receives a golden bracelet of friendship from Joey. Chandler a bit hesitant to wear it, but still does. Later when he accidentally shows it to the others, they mock him.
Chandler :
- That thing, it's a uhh. . . yeah it's, it's a little flashy.

Monica :
- Man, man that is sharp. It must have cost you quite a few doubloons.
Why does Ross use "Goodfella" to refer ti Chndler here? Why Monica says "doubloons"?

I suspect that both of those comments (Monica's and Ross's) are connected with the famouse "Good Fellas" movie. I've never really saw it, but I have a feeling it's about mafia. And maybe this where the connection between the golden flashy bracelet and the comments lays?
ReplyDeleteGoodfella is a gangster who would steal golden stuff.
