We know that Ross and Chandler went to college together. They spent time together at classes like Earth Science and in gym while working out. This time is long gone for Chandler and Ross. When Ross this suddenly jumps up and announces that there is a class he has got to run to, it reminds Chandler of that time. Chandler picks up on the vibe of the moment and jokes ahead.
