Peach pit. Yes, bunny?

It is 20th of October - Ross's and Carol's anniversary of them having sex for a 1st time. Ross is all broken, remembering every detail. Chandler and Joey are bored of it already. So they are walking down the street and Ross suddenly stops:

- Peach pit.(sighs)
Chandler goes:
- Yes, bunny?

What is that about?

  2. так, разобрался

    вот тебе вся сцена

(They walk on. Chandler and Joey start to talk but Ross stops and whines.)

    Joey: What?

    Ross: Peach pit.

    Chandler: Yes, Bunny?

Ross: (points) Peach pit. That night we, uh- we had-

    Joey: -Peaches?

    Ross: Actually, nectarines, but basically…

Chandler: (to Joey) Could've been a peach.

  3. But why Chandler goes "Yes, BUNNY"??? Why is he calling him that? Like it is the answer for Ross's "Peach Pit"? I sense a joke here!!))

    1. well I think I'm not sure of this but Chandler might taken that as diminutive phrase like, "sweetie pie" and responded to him the same way..

    2. this is the correct answer. Ross is pointing out "peach pit" and Chandler is reacting as if 'peach pit' is Ross's diminutive name for him. "Bunny" is a stereotypical diminutive name for a sweetheart or romantic partner, so Chandler is acting as if he and Ross are dating.

    3. That is probably the closest to the truth. But I don't get it why Ross's saying "peach pit" is provoking Chandler to mock the first one in this way. Or anything that is little animal or sweet food related might be automatically treated as a diminutive name for someone dear?

  5. Well, but the serie when Chandler is getting dressed as a bunny is like in 5th season or so...

But you might be right about those manga girls. According to this website http://www.animepaper.net/art/80003/peach-pit-illustrations-ii-rabbit-ears-and-watch
the "Peach Pit" and "Bunny Ears" are standing together. But still it is not enough info on-line. But if one of those famouse manga artist - Peach Pit, the other one is a "Bunny Ears", then it is getting clear why it is such a prompt reaction Chendler having on Ross's pit observation. Couse according to wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peach-Pit the girls are good friends from school and work together in one sphare.

  6. Может, тут не так все сложно. Я считаю, что здесь имеются в виду уменьшительно-ласкательные прозвища.
    Т.е.
    (Росс) - Персиковая косточка.
    (Чендлер саркастично) - Да, зайка?

    1. Looks like it. At least two people here stand for Chandler's mocking Ross with a tipical sweet name for the partner/date/spouse.

How is Chandler's reference to Hymn 253: "His Eyes are on the Sparrow" funny? Ross and Rachel just broke up. Rachel invites guys to a free event she has tickets to. They reject the invitation, because Ross had them reserved for that same night earlier. Rachel says that it's not a big deal and leaves. Everyone is upset especially Chandler. He lights up a cigarette even though he wasn't smoking for a year already. Someone knocks on a door and Chandler says: Chandler: That's great. With my luck, that's him. Phoebe:  Him? Ross?
