Kiddie ride

Girls are discussing their guys what would they be like as GUYS. And Rachel is commenting on Joe:

- I think Joey's like a little kiddie ride. You just have to put the quarter in and it just goes.

So what is that "kiddie ride"? Is that like those mechanic bulls on which you are trying to keep the balance?

  1. Это просто игрушечные автоматы в виде животных, машинок и тп., на которых можно посадить покататься детишек, пока родители ходят по супермаркету.

  3. Outside of stores (and in some other places), there are sometimes small rides for children. They're usually outside of large stores like supermarkets, Walmart, Toys-R-Us, etc. They're usually only a couple of quarters, and it's as she says: you put a quarter in and it just starts. It will operate for a couple of minutes automatically and then stop. It's usually some kind of vehicle or animal (horse, car, etc) that the child sits in or on and the ride rocks up and down gently.

They reject the invitation, because Ross had them reserved for that same night earlier. Rachel says that it's not a big deal and leaves. Everyone is upset especially Chandler.
